Love Your Library 2025

It’s that time of year again: Love Your Library month! Each year the month of September is dedicated to supporting the libraries of Allegheny County through charitable donations. This year is the tenth anniversary of Love Your Library month, and it has been a great ten years!

We are sending this request for donations out this year in the hope that you can support, through your donation, the wonderful programs and services that we offer for our patrons. We’ve been busy creating new programs for all ages in addition to having our Summer Reading Program, Stories in the Park with the Borough, a Summer Social, an Arts and Garden Tour, and an upcoming Holiday Tour in December. We are looking toward the future and our 90th anniversary in 2026 serving Dormont and the greater South Hills community.  

The future of funding for libraries is at risk. To ensure that we maintain our services we are reaching out to individuals, local businesses and corporations to support this year’s Love Your Library campaign. For each donation up to $500, the Jack Buncher Foundation will generously donate a pro-rated amount so your dollars will go further. No amount is too large or too small to make a difference and all gifts are tax deductible.
